GLUK intake is an exercise carried out by the Great Lakes University of Kisumu for the admission of 2021 candidates into the various available 2021 intake undergraduate and postgraduate programmes. Basically, the Great Lakes University of Kisumu conducts the intake exercises in various batches throughout the year. One in January and another in September.

Interested Candidates should ensure to have met the stipulated requirements of the specific course you want to fill into the GLUK application form 2021. However, your admission does not only depend on meeting the course requirements, other factors such as available spaces determine your admission status.

Great Lakes University of Kisumu Application 2021 Intake

Start with these steps to apply for GLUK 2021/2022 intake:

  • Pick a course
  • Ensure that you meet the requirements for the course you want to pursue. Requirements are:
    • Certificate Programs:The minimum requirement for entry into GLUK certificate program is a C- (minus) in KCSE or its equivalent qualifications.

      Diploma Program:
      The minimum requirement for entry into GLUK diploma program is a C (plain) in KCSE or its equivalent qualifications.

      Undergraduate Programs:To join GLUK’s Bachelor’s program a candidate must have an overall mean of C+ (plus) and above in KCSE or its equivalent.

      Postgraduate ProgramsThe entry requirement is a Bachelors degree from an accredited university with a degree awarded with First Class or an Upper Second Class Honours. Those who have Lower Second Class Honours and a Higher Diploma with relevant experience may be considered if the degree or diploma is relevant to the field of study.

  • Go to https://www.gluk.ac.ke/student-registration-form/ to register with the institution
  • Complete the form and click on submit after you are done.
  • Pay the application fee using the procedures in the third sub-heading below
  • Application Fee for International Students is USD 25, and Registration/Admission Fee is USD 25. As for the Local Students, the Application Fee is Ksh. 1,000 and Registration/Admission Fee is Ksh. 2,000. For more Enquiries, call +254 736 550 505.

THINGS TO NOTE:

The Great Lakes University of Kisumu conducts intake screening in January, May, September. This means that the chances of missing out on the admission opportunity are slim.

Applicants should process their applications before the closing dates.

All Candidates will have to pay the application fee whether they gain admission or not.

The Institution will likely announce the results of the intake exercise two weeks after the closing date.

The Institution issues admission letters only to those who meet the requirements. once you download your GLUK admission letter you have full rights of a student with access to the GLUK student portal where you can carry out tasks on the go.

Pay GLUK Application Fee 2021

There are two payment methods available for the Great Lakes University of Kisumu 2021 intake applicants. The two payment methods are MPESA payment and direct banking.

To pay via M-Pesa, start with the following steps:

  1. Go to M-PESA on your phone.
  2. Select “Lipa Na M-PESA” option
  3. Select the “Pay Bill” option.
  4.  Enter paybill number
  5. Type in the Reference number as sent to your mobile phone
  6. select the Amount you intend to pay
  7. Enter your M-PESA PIN and Send.
