GARISSA UNIVERSITY, GU KENYA POSTGRADUATE ADMISSION REQUIREMENT

A holder of a bachelor’s degree with Second class-Upper Division from a recognised institution of higher learning, or a holder of a lower second class degree with 2 (two) years’ experience in relevant field. In addition applicants must meet specific schools requirement. In exceptional cases, the Senate may also admit to the Master’s programme non-holders of a first degree provided such candidates can on the basis of published research, academic and creative work they have done, show that they are qualified to undertake postgraduate work by passing qualifying examinations

  • A KNEC certificate in Early Childhood Education or its equivalence

Diploma in Public Administration           Mode of Study : Weekend Part time         Duration  2 year

  • Minimum mean of C-(minus) or division 2 at KCE or , 1 principal pass at KACE ‘A’ level or at least D+ at KCSE plus a one year certificate from accredited institution or KNEC

  • Minimum mean of C+(plus) at KCSE and above and a C+ in two teaching subjects , Diploma holder in education from recognized institution
