  • KSCE Mean Grade of D+ (Plus), C- (minus) OR equivalent

Diploma Entry Requirements

  • Minimum Entry Requirements:
  • KSCE Mean Grade of C (Plain) OR equivalent

Degree Entry Requirements

  • Minimum Entry Requirements:
  • An aggregate KCSE grade of C+ (PLUS) or a relevant Diploma from a recognized Institution

GARISSA UNIVERSITY, GU KENYA POSTGRADUATE ADMISSION REQUIREMENT

A holder of a bachelor’s degree with Second class-Upper Division from a recognised institution of higher learning, or a holder of a lower second class degree with 2 (two) years’ experience in relevant field. In addition applicants must meet specific schools requirement. In exceptional cases, the Senate may also admit to the Master’s programme non-holders of a first degree provided such candidates can on the basis of published research, academic and creative work they have done, show that they are qualified to undertake postgraduate work by passing qualifying examinations

  • Minimum mean of C-(minus) or
  • P1 certificate or
  • A KNEC certificate in Early Childhood Education or its equivalence

Diploma in Public Administration           Mode of Study : Weekend Part time         Duration  2 year

  • Minimum mean of C-(minus) or division 2 at KCE or , 1 principal pass at KACE ‘A’ level or at least D+ at KCSE plus a one year certificate from accredited institution or KNEC

Bachelor of Education (Arts)    Mode of Study :Regular, School Based (December, April, August.)              Duration  4 years

  • Minimum mean of C+(plus) at KCSE and above and a C+ in two teaching subjects , Diploma holder in education from recognized institution

Bachelor of Education (Science)  Mode of Study : Regular, School Based (December, April, August.)               Duration 4 years

  • Minimum mean of C+(plus) at KCSE and above and a C+ in two teaching subjects , Diploma holder in education from recognized institution And a C+ in two teaching subjects

Bachelor of Education- Early Childhood And Primary Education(ECPE)   Mode of Study : School Based (December, April, August.)   Duration : 4 years

  • Minimum mean of C+ (plus) at KCSE and above or its equivalence , C (plain) and P1/ S1 certificate.
  •  Diploma holder in education ECPE from recognized institution

Bachelor of Arts (Geography)    Mode of Study : Regular (Mon-Fri)             Duration  4 years

  • Minimum mean of C+ (plus) at KCSE and above and C+ in geography or its equivalence , 2 principal pass and one subsidiary pass at ‘A ‘level or
  • Diploma in related discipline from recognized institution

Bachelor of Arts (Community Development)       Mode of Study :Part time/Regular (Mon-Fri)   Duration  4 years

  • Minimum mean of C+ (plus) at KCSE and above or its equivalence , 2 principal pass and one subsidiary pass at ‘A’ level or Diploma in related discipline from recognized institution
