Created in 2012, FSD Africa is a £30 million financial sector development programme or ‘FSD’ based in Nairobi. It is funded by the UK Government’s Department for International Development (DFID). FSD Africa aims to reduce poverty across sub-Saharan Africa by building financial markets that are efficient, robust and inclusive.
Scope of work
- Conduct Data Audit.
- Data Privacy Governance Assessment
- Drafting of policies, procedures, and contract clause templates
- Assist in the implementation of data protection.
- Contract Modification
- Data Protection Impact Assessment
- Staff Awareness Training
Outcomes and deliverables
- Staff awareness training
- Data Protection Implementation.
- Ensure FSD Kenya is registered and compliant with Data Protection Act 2019.
- Customisation of Data Protection Documentation
- Recommend configuration FSD Kenya systems for compliance.
- Contracts such as controller to processor agreement, data sharing agreement, cross-border processor agreement.
- Data Protection awareness training materials
- Policies such as Privacy Policy, Record Management policy, Data Subject Access Request Policy, Data Breach Response Plan
Experience of the Consultant/firmÂ
- A well-established firm with a good track record of working on providing Data Protection Consulting services in Kenya and the wider region for at least two years.
